As the UK’s largest trade association for hairdressing, barbering and beauty salon owners, the National Hairdressers' Federation (NHF) helps its 7500 members build successful, profitable and sustainable businesses. It achieves this by providing a range of vital services and campaigning on issues that raise professional standards and improve working conditions, such as the National Minimum Wage, tax and VAT. Among its activities is a packed programme of events and competitions; a culmination of 75 years of dedication to this industry is captured in its 75th Anniversary Awards.
To support this organisation and its members, Takara Belmont is honoured to sponsor its 75th Anniversary Awards. “We congratulate the NHF on this incredible milestone in its history and wish finalists the very best of luck for what promises to be a hugely successful event!” said Takara Belmont’s Territory Sales Manager, Katie Wrighton.
As sponsors of the ‘Best Independent Hair or Beauty Salon’ category, the finalists have been announced and eagerly await the awards presentation at The VOX Conference Centre in Birmingham on Sunday 19th November. Expected to be a bustling celebration of excellence, the awards will showcase the talent, passion and dedication that illustrate yet again why the UK is respected across the world for creativity, artistry and innovation.
“We’re keen to engage with the NHF and members across the industry and show how we can help them become even more successful through intelligent interior planning and design with equipment options that drive service options, enhance the customer experience, optimise revenue streams and deliver increased profits. Our expertise mirrors the NHF approach so we’re keen to build on this partnership. Being a sponsor of their awards is a key part of developing these relationships.”
Following an award-winning debut, we are gearing up for our second year at Barber Connect later this month, showcasing a selection of our barbering legends, offering interiors advice, inspiration and exclusive show only offers, as well as hosting barbering demonstrations throughout the two day exhibition.
As Europe’s largest dedicated barber exhibition, Barber Connect will see thousands of professionals travel to the events new home, The International Centre in Telford, on the 11th and 12th of June. We are excited to be welcoming some of those professionals to our stand, N3, with confirmed live demonstrations from the charismatic Garry Jackson of Garry’s Barbers in Belfast and one-to-watch Lieanne Buckley. Be sure to check in to our social media channels in the run up to the exhibition as we announce additions to our stand lineup.
Also joining us over the weekend will be a collection of our traditional barbering classics including the Apollo 2 family, Dainty and Legacy 95 chairs, as well as the Aubrey Barbering Station. Barbers will have the opportunity to discover a new addition to the brands portfolio, launching later this year. Alongside the barbering portfolio, our stand will also host the Halo Series and other core styling chairs, allowing barbers to experience a wider variety of products depending on their salon interior and vibe.
“Exhibitions are a great way for us to showcase a selection of our products and gage the reaction to upcoming launches, whilst the salon owners get to experience and test our our furniture and equipment first hand, ” says Takara Belmont’s Cari-Anne Rawlinson. “We understand that salon furniture is a large and important investment consideration for any salon owner which is why our team are on hand to give advice on the best options for their salon or to answer any technical or cosmetic questions they might have”.
This year’s exhibition will also see the launch of Modern Barber LIVE, which will host over 60 barbers over the weekend showcasing their talents. We are pleased to be partnering with Modern Barber Magazine to supply five Apollo chairs - an iconic symbol of barbering since 1961.
With all of this and so much more, there’s plenty of reasons to visit Barber Connect this June! We’ll see you on stand N3!
