Model 808

Takara Belmont developed and introduced the world's first motorised barber chair. Utilising the original version of our BTY base the 808 introduced up, down and reclining motions that reduced barber fatigue. At the time of its introduction the 808 was considered more than simply innovative…it was regarded as futuristic.

Today's motorised collection, including the Maxim, Inova EX and Legend, are modern evolutions of this original technology.

A type 1500

As a direct ancestor of the Salon Console, the A Type 500 was a revelation. This wall mounted cabinet opened electronically to reveal a wash basin which could be neatly stowed away after use.

Transforming space restricted barber shops, this concept allowed for the client to receive a hair wash and cut in one place, and it is still just as relevant and popular today.

rollerball

As the world’s first infrared hair processor, Rollerball introduced groundbreaking innovation to accelerate colour, treatment and chemical processing services and transform results.

Recognising the role of technology in hairdressing and the importance of colour business to salons, the success of the original Rollerball saw it patented in eight countries within the first year of its launch. Colour processing time could be halved and other chemical services, such as treatments and perms were faster, more effective and longer lasting. This technology has continued to evolve and its newest form, the Roller Ball F, remains a major force in the Takara Belmont portfolio.

Oasis mobile shampoo unit

Technology plays a key role in solving challenges, such as restricted space, as well as creating new experiences and theatre in the salon. The Oasis mobile shampoo unit achieves all of these things.

This stand alone mobile backwash ingeniously and securely engages with an under floor plumbing system via a locked footplate directly behind the salon chair. Simply move into position, recline your client and perform a luxurious shampoo service before moving the unit onto its next service station, or stowing it away. Ideal for salons with limited space, the Oasis also allows for one unit to serve multiple styling stations, as well as providing a talking point.

This innovation has now become part of our prestigious Yume Series.

Micro mist and Spa Mist II

The benefits of ultrasound in hairdressing led to the introduction of the world’s processor to utilise this technology. Traditionally, chemical processes generate steam by boiling water at 100ºc, resulting in potential heat damage to hair and the dilution of colour pigments, treatment ingredients and perm solutions. Micro Mist radically transformed this. By creating a ‘micro mist’ at just 40ºc the hair cuticles could be opened at the optimum temperature whilst eliminating heat damage or diluting process ingredients with water. This processor’s innovative cooling feature then closes the cuticle layers to lock chemicals in which results in more vibrant, glossy and healthy hair with longer lasting results.

Yume DX and head spa treatment

As a concept, the Yume DX shampoo system embodies Takara Belmont’s pursuit of excellence and the application of advanced electronics in one single flagship concept. Fully motorised functionality and supremely agile, Yume DX paved the way for salons to elevate shampoo and backwash services whilst allowing for the introduction of VIP services and head-spa treatments. Clients could be cocooned in luxury, cradled in comfort and transported to a new plane of serenity as they receive a shampoo, head and face massage, hand-spa treatment, pedicure and manicure or other hair and beauty treatments. Yume opened up new possibilities for a salon to extend its offer to clients and benefit commercially from them.

The Yume luxury equipment line now incorporates the Yume DX, Yume Espoir and Yume Oasis.
